How to Submit Your Story
Jan 23rd, 2007 by Siri Ved Kaur
Do you have a story you would like to share? A book you love that you’d like to recommend? We welcome submissions from fellow travelers on this spiritual path.
We are looking for honest story telling (See "What’s a True Tale?"), to give a full and true picture of who we are and the roads we have walked. Some have walked one way, some another. It is all good; we are all learning and growing on our journeys.
Your writing should be submitted as an MS Word file that has been spellchecked and carefully proofread. We will keep any editing to a minimum. While we respect honest and open expression, for the purpose of this blog we reserve the right to delete any material we consider offensive. Your edited document will be returned to you for approval before it is published on the blog.
We don’t want to put a limit on the length of your story or poem, but please try to keep it less than 2000 words (and really, that should be plenty long in most cases). For book reviews/recommendations (for the "Books We Love" page) we are looking for an average-length paragraph.
You may include photos to accompany your story or poem. Photos should be in jpg format, preferably sized to be less than 1000kb, and 150 or less dpi (a good size is ~300×400 pixels). Please do not embed your photos in your MS Word document, but include them as separate jpg attachment.
We will notify you if and when your piece is to be published. If so, you may also submit a short bio and let us know your website address (if you have one) which can be included.
For stories, please submit your MS Word file to Siri Ved Kaur.
For poetry and book recommendations, please submit your MS Word file to Hari Bhajan Kaur.

Done!! Also you can just click on my name (for stories) or Hari Bhajan’s name (for poems and book reviews) and the email box should pop right up. —SVK
Sat Shri Akal,
Dear Gurprasad Kaur,
I was searching for some information regarding 84 stairs (chaurasi paudiyan) Gobindwal Sahib Gurudwara on the net and landed on your website.
I have heard of Gora Sikh Jatha but never had a chance to met them. Today I’ve Waheguru gave me chance to know about them thru you. I’m really surprised about the dedication which you have towards Sikh religion. I saw photographs of other White Sikhs also on the net and found that you have “noor” (light), calm, peace on your faces.
I really impressed by you guys!
Keep it up and Waheguru ji da khalsa te waheguru ji ki fateh.
Take care,
Harvinder
