The song Nobility was written by Wha Guru Kaur during KWTC about 30 years ago. That summer it was recorded by a group of women at Ladies camp. Here is a little story about that song I’ll bet most people are not familiar with…
Wha Guru Kaur (now Janet S) took quotes from Yogiji’s lectures that summer to make the lyrics for her song. One of his quotes was something like, "A woman should be noble even if she lives up in a tree." WGK included that line in the song, "… even if she lives up in a tree," but it was taken out when they recorded it and was never again part of the lyric. (It was replaced with, "even if she lives in poverty." So sad!! I loved the humor Yogiji brought into his teachings and sometimes we were just too plain serious.
Contact the folks at Ancient Healing Ways. They may be able to help you find the recording. Otherwise, do the yoga set with another mantra recording that you love. I’m sure the set will still have a very positive effect. Good luck!
