Like Ganga Ji, I can hardly remember much about L.A. either. I visited Guru Ram Das Ashram for about 20 minutes in 2005, I think it was over 20 years since I had been there. It was a very surreal experience. When I saw the park across the street, it really blew my mind. I had this memory of a park, I didn't know where it was or really how to describe it and I never thought to ask my parents where it was. I remember the fence being so high and the park looking so large, but now the fence was up to my chest and the park didn't look like a vast expanse.
I feel like I need to pay a visit to LA and sort of recall some of my roots. I do remember you Siri Ved Kaur Ji and I remember Avtar Kaur Ji.
As a side note, the Española sangat received an email about the building next to the Ashram becoming available for purchase, and it mentioned the need for funds. They have a website and paypal and within minutes I was able to make a donation. So I encourage the readers of this blog to support the cause of growing and expanding our communities everywhere.
Someday I'll have a bigger home in Española and I certainly hope it will be a place that supports the growth of Dharma on this planet. My current place is rather humble, but people are always welcome.
We have a wonderful global family.

Dear Siri Ved, Thank you a thousand fold for starting and maintaining this site. Your memories are an ashram unto themselves. Please keep writing and keep sharing. I can barely remember a thing except when you remind me. Our history is well worth documenting through the personal experience of those who lived and created it. It was and continues to be a miracle. Oh, and little Wha Wha and White Cat make my heart smile. Bless you. Ganga
