Siri Atma Kaur... I re-read your article from over two years ago, and it still inspires me. I remember those days well also. Ong Kar Kaur and I were there with Hari Singh and he was so inspired at the level of growth for not only himself with the teaching of the Khalsa Drill team, but also from the inspiration of all those Khalsa Ladies interacting with each other to form a tight unit and sisterhood. When the Siri Singh Sahib asked Hari Singh to go teach the women marching and drilling he said, " You cannot work together until you learn to walk together." These women need military training that you and I have experienced and understand, but I have no one else but you who can teach them this aspect of military life." When the Siri Singh Sahib was given the entire KWTC marching performances and drill team exhibitions he was always thrilled beyond words and spoke of this to Hari Singh and me. That summer was one of the most memorable months of my life.

waheguru ji ka KHALSA
waheguru ji ki FATEH
its so great of you that you stood your ground when the time was up, i think that a true Khalsa challenges his own Self, instead of the opponent, in times of adversity, and in the process, pushes his Self to higher limits until He (Khalsa) comes out a winner and realizes his worth.
Sri atma ji , you won, congratulations : )

Everything has a season and cycles. What we did then was important for our growth. We were young and undisciplined in body, mind and spirit. The children at MPA do many of these disciplines to help focus all their energy. For many of us now it is about coming from the heart and serving. The discipline and rigor is to do sadhana and just show up in this Piscean world that is so filled with anger, greed and fear. We are all doing the best we can and it's all perfectly in God's plan. That's how I chose to look at it. Thanks for your thoughts.

Hari Bhajan Kaur Ji, that was the first thing I thought as well. It's kind of humorous.

We need more marching, physical training, original bana, and more discipline! What's the deal with 3HO these days? I like that we're very open to everybody and non-judgemental etc., but we totally lack discipline now. We need tough love, we need to push people beyond their comfort zones, or we're going to see more of what we have today.
It seems like we are selling Kundalini yoga and trying to separate it from the Sikh Dharma. If people don't like what they term 'religion,' that's their problem not ours. We shouldn't sell ourselves for anything less than we are.

Don't you think it's ironic that it's all these women and the banner says Sikh Dharma "Brotherhood"???
